Click on the 1945 picture of the Esperanto Conference in Palestine to enlarge it. I'm happy it's stored at Harvard University. I've seen it before. Many of these Esperantists went on to establish the Esperanto League of Israel or ELI. A few times there was contact between Jewish and local Arab Esperantists as well as a handful of Egyptian Esperantists in the 1930's and 1940's.
